Xymurgy is a 5 piece, hard rock band from Seattle,
Washington. Originally formed in 2000 when guitarist, Glenn Love,
had a vision of creating an original rock band that wasn't emo,
screamo, nu-metal, hardcore, post-hardcore, post-pop-punk or any
other manifestation of rock when he met Nathan Strait who amazingly
was thinking the same thing. Several coincidences and oat sodas
later, they recruited veteran bass man Ned Becker, vocalist Jacob
Main, and keyboardist James Kerr to form what is now Xymurgy.
Together they have created a sound that is both nostalgic of the
heavy rock of the seventies and contemporary and fresh enough
to please even the youngest fans of true ROCK music. They just
finished recording a 4-song demo at Last Ditch Studios in Seattle,
and plan on returning to the studio after a summer tour of the
West Coast to begin work on a full length album.
